1) How was I as a teacher?

Joanne Chen is very knowledgable and enthusiastic to teach what she knows. She understands some of the typical problems of the non-native speaker may have thus a student may improve a lot just after several classes. But every students may have his/her own unique problem, he/she may really needs to discuss with Ms. Chen to find out the possible causes together.

2) How has taking my accent reduction course helped you as a non-native speaker?

The course helps a non-native speaker to understand the details of making a native-like English sound, such as the placement of the tongue, the flow of the air, etc. The entry level class also covers and let the student to practice a few concepts of connection of words in one sentence.

Some of the theories or concepts may help students to understand why some pronounciation need to be in a certain way.

3) Would you recommend the course to other non-native speakers?
