Introducing Joanne T. Chen Accent Reduction Services

Joanne T. Chen Accent Reduction Services focuses exclusively on instruction of verbal communication - specifically accent reduction, accent modification, speech improvement, and public speaking. We serve executives and professionals in industries, such as medical, pharmaceutical, and IT. We are conveniently located near major highways in San Diego, CA. Our facility includes air-conditioned classrooms, an auditorium, a library, and kitchen.

Accent reduction classes are run by accent reduction coach Joanne Chen, a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. Her background includes business, public speaking, the performing arts, PR/marketing, and broadcast and print journalism. She is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, Lessac Training & Research Institute, and North Coast Toastmasters. She has also been featured with three Toastmasters World Champions on the educational CD, Panic to Power: Swift and Simple Speaking Strategies Anyone Can Use.

Joanne Chen's accent reduction classes target the needs of intermediate and advanced-level non-native speakers. Types of speech improvement instruction include small group courses (class size: eight students maximum) and private coaching. She also offers seminars and private coaching on public speaking.
